With Gary Harris (groin) sidelined, Barton received the appointment to the top unit as expected and took on a higher-usage role than he’d normally receive off the bench, finishing second on the Nuggets in scoring and third in shot attempts. Unfortunately for Barton his run in the starting five could be short lived, as Harris has been recently cleared for full practices and may be ready to make his season debut in the Nuggets’ next game Saturday against the Trail Blazers. Harris’ impending return will dim Barton’s outlook a bit, but he’ll still be worth owning in most fantasy formats even if he’s limited to a 25-to-30 minute role as the Nuggets’ sixth man.
