Ty Lawson: Set to see extended minutes early this season

The eight games are in reference to the amount of time projected starter Darren Collison is slated to miss while on suspension, so it appears Lawson is going to get a ton of minutes early on as his replacement in the starting lineup. Early last week, Lawson was reportedly on thin ice with the team after missing a team flight, as well as showing up late to a shootaround, but after speaking to the coaching staff, the two sides were able to work past those previous issues and Lawson should be cleared for a big start to the season. With that said, Collison is fully expected to take the starting point guard role back following his suspension.
