Embiid, a possible first-time All-Star if he can stay healthy (only 31 games
played last season).

What’s new in Philadelphia
NBA.com’s David Aldridge ranked the 76ers’ offseason fourth among the 30 NBA
teams, based on a series of moves that could make Philadelphia a greatly
improved club. Some analysts are predicting a playoff berth in the weakened East
for the 76ers, which would represent an extreme jump from averaging less than 20
wins over the past four seasons. In addition to landing Fultz in the draft and
Simmons’ anticipated NBA debut, Philadelphia made a pair of key veteran pickups
by signing J.J. Redick (Clippers) and Amir Johnson (Celtics) in free agency.
Both are on one-year deals and expected to bring much-needed experience to an
untested 76ers roster.
