Today’s Topic: Tim Duncan
Today on Throwback Thursday, we honor the career of Tim Duncan, who retired from the NBA this summer.
Duncan spent his entire 19-year career with the Spurs, accumulating five NBA championships, three Finals MVP awards, two Most Valuable Player awards, 15 All-Star berths, 15 All-NBA selections, 15 All-Defensive team spots and the 1998 Rookie of the Year award. He was the definition of consistency and longevity, with 17 years separating his first (1998) and last (2015) selections to the All-NBA first team.
