The NBA Is The First Organization To Surpass One Billion Loops On Vine

NEW YORK, Dec. 14, 2015 – The National Basketball Association (NBA) is the first organization to surpass one billion loops on Vine.  The milestone comes just months after the NBA became the first sports league to reach one million Vine followers in April.

Since joining the platform in 2013 with a vine of Chris Bosh practicing three-pointers during the NBA Finals, the NBA has built Vine’s largest following among all sports leagues, teams and players – more than 1.45 million – by engaging fans with game highlights, behind-the-scenes access and unique content from players to Vine artists.  At NBA All-Star 2015, Zack LaVine’s Slam Dunk performance propelled the league past 33 million loops of the weekend’s events.
