Terrence Ross: Traded to Magic

Ross was in the midst of one of his better seasons with the Raptors, averaging
10.4 points (on a career-best 44.1% shooting from the field) to go with 2.6
rebounds, 1.8 three-pointers and 1.0 steal in 22.4 minutes per game. He’ll give
the Magic a much-needed perimeter threat and should be in store for a more
sizable role than what he held down in Toronto as the team’s sixth man. With
Ibaka out of the picture, the Magic are apparently planning to reinstall Aaron
Gordon as their starting power forward, according to Keith Smart of FanRag
Sports, which will open up a starting role on the wing. Ross seems to be the
leading candidate for those duties, as second-year player Mario Hezonja hasn’t
proven to be a capable shooter at the NBA level, while veteran Jeff Green is on
the downside of his career.
