Ibaka, who was acquired Tuesday from the Magic in exchange for Terrence Ross and
2017 first-round pick, wasn’t available for Tuesday’s loss to the Bulls, as he
and Ross both still need to pass their physicals before either can suit up for
their new teams. Both Ibaka and Ross are expected to resolve that matter
Wednesday, and if that’s the case, Ibaka would likely see the floor in the
Raptors’ final game before the All-Star break. Due to his lack of familiarity
with the team’s offensive sets, Ibaka may only be asked to play spot minutes off
the bench if available Wednesday, but after getting a chance to practice with
the Raptors next week, it won’t be long before he settles in as the starting
power forward.
