SAN ANTONIO (Aug. 13, 2017) – The San Antonio Stars today announced that they
have waived center Erika de Souza, who suffered a lower right leg bone bruise
during the team’s practice on Aug. 8. Per her request, the team has waived de
Souza so that she can return home to Brazil where she will complete her physical
therapy.
De Souza averaged 3.6 points and 2.6 rebounds in 27 games with the Stars this
season.
The Stars travel to Seattle to face the Storm Friday, Aug. 18 at 9 p.m. before
visiting the Los Angeles Sparks on Wednesday, Aug. 22 for a 9:30 p.m. tipoff.
San Antonio returns for Fan Appreciation Night and its final home game of the
season Friday, Aug. 25 when the Stars host the Minnesota Lynx at 7 p.m.
