Aldridge can exercise opt-out for '18-19, become free agent. A deal before midnight would allow him to opt-in at $22M and extend 3 years. https://t.co/xctuZktepW

Aldridge has averaged 17.6 points, 7.9 rebounds and 1.2 blocks during two seasons with San Antonio. The 31-year-old wasn’t selected to the All-Star team last season for the first time since 2010-11.
If a contract extension cannot be reached, Aldridge could opt out of his contract and become an unrestricted free agent during the summer of 2018.
