Report: Kawhi Leonard expected to miss Spurs’ season opener

The San Antonio Spurs are expected to be without their All-Star forward to open the 2017-18 season.

Kawhi Leonard is still rehabbing a left quad injury and won’t be available for Wednesday’s season opener against Minnesota, according to Gregg Popovich via Jeff McDonald of the San Antonio Express-News.

There is currently no timetable for his return. The 25-year-old missed training camp and the entire preseason.

San Antonio is 14-4 over the last two regular seasons without Leonard.
