Report: Grizzlies Expect Iguodala In Camp

Andre Iguodala will remain with the Memphis Grizzlies for now, with the team declining to consider a buyout that would allow him to join a contender, The Athletic’s Shams Charania reported Tuesday.

The Golden State Warriors traded Iguodala and a 2024 first-round pick to the Grizzlies on July 7 in a salary dump, estimated to be slightly more than $17 million for this season.

Iguodala, 35, averaged a career-low 5.7 points per game last season, his 15th in the NBA. Before that he served as a key cog in the Warriors’ three championship runs, including his Finals MVP performance against LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2015.
