Seeing that Portis is behind Pau Gasol, Nikola Mirotic, Taj Gibson, and Joakim Noah, it may be difficult for the rookie to obtain a solid spot in coach Fred Hoiberg’s rotation. However, Portis recorded a couple of double-doubles during Chicago’s preseason and has a lot of potential to be a solid player for the Bulls in the long season ahead.
