Pau Gasol Logs His 1,000th Career NBA Game

As the Chicago Bulls host the Charlotte Hornets Saturday night, Pau Gasol has reached an exclusive level of play in his NBA career. Making the start, Gasol has now played in 1,000 careeer NBA games, becoming the 116th player ever to do so.

The 35 year old made his NBA debut on November 1st, 2001 for the Memphis Grizzlies against the Pistons.

Gasol celebrated the moment earlier Saturday on Twitter, reaching out to his followers to share video of their favorite play of his over the years.

Mavs great and fellow 1,000-game player Dirk Nowitzki took the opportunity to have some fun with Gasol, Tweeting him video of Orlando’s Nik Vucevic dunking on Gasol last season.

Gasol took the joke well, replying: “@swish41 there have been a few of those too! Thanks for sharing mate!”
