How it Happened
On a night when Carmelo Anthony struggled to find his shot, his Knicks teammates put forth a strong collective effort against the second-best defensive team in the NBA. After battling all night, they had two chances to win or tie the game, but came up just short in a 108-105 defeat.
Down two with 11.1 seconds left on the clock, Kristaps Porzingis (22 points) couldn’t get a clean look from the top of the key to fall, and then Anthony (14 points on 5-of-20 shooting) missed on his last-second 3 attempt to tie.
