What will you have to do once you come back from injury?
Having ball-movement and keeping things fluid. Our bench has done great with our team success, so I just want to come back and be part of that.
Have you considered returning to the Slam Dunk Contest in the future?
Yeah. A lot of times, All-Star is a chance to rest the body, and this year won’t be any different. I’ve definitely got to be healthy, but I’m open to it.
Who are the most interesting people on your team? How fun is the Clippers’ locker room?
Cole Alrich is definitely one of the most interesting people. Jamal Crawford, too. Our locker room is pretty fun. We always have fun on and off the court.

Do you think the Clippers can win the championship this season? What will you need?
I think we have a great chance. Come playoff time, we have to have homecourt advantage in the first round. We definitely have the pieces for a championship run.
Do you use the Clippers when you’re playing NBA 2K?
If I do play, I use the Clippers. But I don’t play a ton of video games.
One-on-one against DeAndre: who wins?
You have to believe in yourself, so I’ll say myself. If we’re going to 7, I’ll win 7-5.
Will you visit China this offseason?
I’m not sure yet. I normally visit during the summer, but I’m not sure what timing will be, because of the Olympics. But I definitely enjoy making time for China!
When will we see J.J. Redick dunk during a game? Can you teach Cole Aldrich to dunk?
I’m not sure. Hopefully some time this year. I’ve seen him dunk in warm ups, so I have faith in him. And I’ll see what we can do with Cole. We’ll work on it during practice. He’s had some good ones, actually. He’s pulled off a windmill dunk before.
What do you think of the Golden State Warriors and San Antonio Spurs?
They’re both obviously great, great teams. The Warriors are playing the best basketball I’ve probably ever seen. The Spurs have a great formula. They seem to add new players and continue plugging away. Those two teams, with the Cavs, seem to be the teams to beat.
How close are you and Chris Paul?
CP, DJ and I have been together for five years now. Every year, we get closer and closer. I love them like brothers — all of my teammates, really. We’ve become a tight-knit group from spending time together.
What do you think of Kobe’s career and retirement?
Kobe’s been a pioneer for the game, doing so many things over the past 20 years. He’s been an inspiration for everyone, with his many, many accomplishments. It’s been cool to see everyone celebrate him.
What is your favorite All-Star Game memory?
My first one. It was in L.A., so it was cool to play at the Staples Center in front of the fans.
