Michael Carter-Williams: To miss 3-to-4 weeks

Carter-Williams was initially diagnosed with a sprained knee, but a subsequent evaluation Tuesday morning revealed the bruise. While it’s encouraging that he did not sustain any structural damage, Carter-Williams will now miss the better part of the next month, leaving Chicago rather shorthanded at point guard. In his absence, both Isaiah Canaan and Jerian Grant should see increased minutes behind entrenched starter Rajon Rondo.
