Michael Carter-Williams: Timeline extended to 4-to-6 weeks

Earlier Tuesday, it was reported that a bone bruise on his left knee would keep Carter-Williams out 3-to-4 weeks, but the Bulls have since updated the timeline, in addition to noting that Carter-Williams is also battling a sprained left wrist. The two ailments will keep the newly acquired point guard on the shelf for at least the next month, which should equate to increased minutes off the bench for both Jerian Grant and Isaiah Canaan. It’s also possible the Bulls could try out rookie Denzel Valentine at point guard, but at this point the Michigan State product is viewed primarily as a shooting guard.
