Mailbag: Griffin Answers Fan Questions

Rowan Kavner

Blake Griffin’s off to another All-Star worthy season, averaging a career-high 24.3 points as well as 8.9 rebounds and 4.9 assists per game in 2015-16.

Griffin took a little time early on this five-game road trip to answer a few fan questions from both Facebook and Twitter, which were submitted on social media using “#LACmailbag” after the question.

Here are his answers.

Charles Sidabutar:  Who was your favorite player in the NBA all time? #LACmailbag

BG: “Tim Duncan. It’s just how he’s managed his career and how he’s gone about it, how he’s gone about carrying himself on and off the court, his leadership, all the intangibles.”

Mike Davis: What tips would you give to kids early in their basketball careers? #LACmailbag

BG: “Just respect the game, love the game, play as much as you can. The more you put into the game, the more you’re going to get out of it. That’s always my advice to kids.”

TWITTER

Brad Eisen (@bigbraht) – Besides Matt Barnes, which former teammate do you miss the most? Why? #LACmailbag

BG: “I’d have to say my teammate I miss the most is Spencer Hawes. I kind of knew him just from playing AAU and stuff, but I wouldn’t say I knew him super well until he came here. We’re still good friends.”

Chelsea Rongavilla (@CRongavilla) – Favorite post-game snack or meal? #LACmailbag

BG: “I like to switch it up, so it’s tough to just pick one. I don’t really have one specific pregame or postgame meal I go to.”
