Johnson will return to the rotation Tuesday after being a DNP-CD in each of the last two games, Keith Langlois of Pistons.com reports.

The rookie was glued to the bench last week in wins over the Wizards and Magic, as coach Stan Van Gundy opted to go with Reggie Bullock over Johnson off the bench. Johnson is expected to return to his normal bench role Tuesday against the Heat, though it’s unclear if Van Gundy will again tighten the rotation once the postseason begins. For what it’s worth, Van Gundy did note that he believes Johnson’s abilities as a defender will be needed in the playoffs.
