John Wall: Comments on regular season workload

Wall was handled carefully in the preseason after offseason procedures on both knees, but he gradually worked up to 27 minutes in the Wizards’ exhibition finale Friday against Toronto. Wall admitted to reporters Monday that he may not be able to play for prolonged stretches (8-to-10 minutes) to begin the year, but he noted that he believes he can still play 30-plus minutes without issue. Coach Scott Brooks has not commented on how he’ll use Wall in Thursday’s season opener against the Hawks, though the expectation is that Wall will be monitored closely but not necessarily restricted.
