Jerryd Bayless: Expected to miss first month of season

The veteran missed the entire preseason after suffering a torn ligament in his left wrist, and he’s yet to resume any sort of full-contact workout. This is the first concrete timetable the team has provided, though it’s entirely possible Bayless could miss more than a month should he encounter any complications. After spending last season in Milwaukee, Bayless was expected to serve as the 76ers’ starting point guard, but the team will now go with some combination of Sergio Rodriguez and T.J. McConnell alongside expected starting shooting guard Gerald Henderson. Once No. 1 overall pick Ben Simmons (foot) returns, he could also factor into the mix.
