Hawks’ Horford To Replace Heat’s Bosh In 2016 NBA All-Star Game, Blazers’ McCollum To Replace Bosh In Three-Point Contest

TORONTO, Feb. 12, 2016 – Atlanta Hawks forward/center Al Horford has been named by NBA Commissioner Adam Silver to replace injured Eastern Conference All-Star reserve Chris Bosh (strained calf) of the Miami Heat in the 2016 NBA All-Star Game on Sunday, Feb. 14 at Air Canada Centre in Toronto.  In addition, Portland Trail Blazers guard CJ McCollum will replace Bosh in the 2016 Foot Locker Three-Point Contest on Saturday, Feb. 13 at Air Canada Centre in Toronto.

This marks the fourth NBA All-Star Game selection for Horford, who is averaging 15.3 points, 6.9 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 1.5 blocks for the Hawks (31-24).

McCollum, in his third season, is posting career-bests in scoring (20.7 ppg), assists (4.2 apg) and rebounds (3.6 rpg).  He is shooting 39.2 percent from distance and ranks ninth in the NBA with 125 made three-point field goals.
