After suffering an injury during Game 3, Whiteside had an MRI performed on his right knee Sunday, which determined he suffered an MCL sprain. However, despite being listed as questionable, Whiteside is reportedly dealing with a significant amount of pain, which could be too much for him to overcome in such a short period of time considering Game 4 is on Monday. We should see Whiteside’s status updated following the team’s shootaround Monday morning, although if he can’t play, look for the likes of Amar’e Stoudemire, Udonis Haslem and Josh McRoberts to see a boost in minutes.
