Halftime Rewind: Pacers 58, Knicks 62

After one half of play at Bankers Life Fieldhouse, the Pacers trail the Knicks 62-58.

Despite a strong first quarter, New York's second unit rallied the Knicks back into the game, sending the Knicks to the locker room with a four-point advantage.

The Pacers started off the evening with a surprise lineup change, swapping in C.J. Miles for Glenn Robinson III. The move paid early dividends as Miles assisted on an around-the-horn sequence that ended with Paul George draining a 3-pointer to give the Pacers an early 10-4 advantage which caused Knicks head coach Jeff Hornacek to call his first timeout.

However, following the timeout, both George and Myles Turner were forced to retreat to the bench with early foul trouble. Carmelo Anthony led the charge with the defensive duo parked on the pine, racking up 12 points in the first quarter alone.

But even with the second unit in the game, Indiana continued to build on its lead. Following a 3-pointer from Anthony, the Pacers benched reeled off a 9-0 run capped with an inbounds steal and jumper from Robinson III.

To open the second period, New York began to pull itself back into the game, using a 7-1 run to begin the quarter. When Pacers head coach Nate McMillan signaled for a timeout with 8:14 left in the half, Indiana led 37-31.

The timeout did little to slow the Knicks, as New York came back and retook the lead for the first time since the score was 4-2.

Despite the Pacers' impressive first quarter in which they outscored the Knicks 34-22, New York answered with a forceful second quarter, outscoring the Pacers 40-24 and carrying a 62-58 lead into the locker room.

Paul George led the Pacers with 19 points, while Anthony paced the Knicks with 17. Broadcast Information TV & Radio Listings »
