Game Preview: Nets v Bucks

The Brooklyn Nets play host to the Milwaukee Bucks, at Barclays Center on
Wednesday evening. The Nets (9-46) have dropped 13 straight and are the only
team in the league that is more than 10 games out of a playoff spot. They are
even 11 games behind the 14th-place Magic in the East. Despite their losing
streak, the Nets have not been playing terribly, as their last eight games have
been decided by a margin of 10 points or less. To their credit they continue to
give a full effort and are leaving it all on the floor. Brook Lopez continues to
go to work, as he leads Brooklyn with an average of 20.5 points per game. Trevor
Booker (knee), who leads the team in rebounding, is listed as questionable for
action on Wednesday. The Nets have earned nearly all their wins at home, as they
are 7-23 at home so far this season. Meanwhile, the Bucks (24-30) have won two
straight. They are coming off a 102-89 win at home over the Pistons on Monday,
where they were led by a couple unlikely heros, as Greg Monroe was the
high-point man with 25 on 12-of-15 shooting, and Michael Beasley followed up
with 23 points. The Bucks have to adapt now that they will be without Jabari
Parker for the remainder of the season and if Monday was any indication, Michael
Beasley could be a big part of their new look. The return of Khris Middleton is
also a timely addition, however he is still easing into action. Middleton played
18 minutes on Monday and finished with 11 points on 4-of-7 shooting. The Bucks
have won two straight on the road, where they are 10-16 so far this season. They
sit ninth in the East, one game behind the eighth-place Pistons.
