By Cody Sharrett — The Portland Trail Blazers (9-14) return to the desert for the second time this year to wrap up their season series with the Phoenix Suns (10-13) Friday night. The two sides have met twice thus far in 2015-16, with the Suns claiming victory in both matchups. Portland is led by the backcourt duo of Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum averaging 44 points per game throughout the first 23 games of 2015-16, the third best average among teammates in the entire NBA. Off the bench, the Trail Blazers have outscored their opponents in eight of the last nine games. For the Suns, guards Eric Bledsoe and Brandon Knight average 21.9 and 21.4 points, respectively. Bledsoe also leads Phoenix with 6.4 assists per contest, while Alex Len sits atop the Suns’ rebounding column. The Suns lead the all-time series with the Trail Blazers, 119-95. Portland last won in Phoenix on March 30, 2015.
