Kaminsky continues to draw starts for the sidelined Cody Zeller (quad) and
parlay the opportunities into productive outings. The ref’s whistle eventually
got the best of him Sunday, with Kaminsky fouling out after 28 minutes on the
floor. However, the second-year big man did manage his sixth straight
double-digit scoring effort before departing, and is now sporting a 22.4 percent
usage rate since Zeller’s first missed game on Jan. 25. Kaminsky’s deft touch
from long distance adds an extra dimension to his game that goes beyond that of
a typical big man, enhancing his overall value. Factoring in Sunday’s
production, he’s attempted an average of 6.3 shots from behind the arc in 10
February contests and has drained them at a 36.5 percent clip.
