With Mason Plumlee now in Denver and Jusuf Nurkic in street clothes on the
bench, Davis stepped up with his best performance of the season. Starting center
Meyers Leonard could only produce two points, six rebounds and three assists
over 24 minutes, but Davis’ frontcourt contributions helped make up for some of
the shortfall. The rebounds were a season high for the veteran, who’d missed two
of the prior three games while dealing with a lingering wrist ailment. With
Nurkic expected to suit up for Wednesday’s game versus the Jazz, it remains to
be seen how Davis’ playing time will be affected.
