The Warriors took control early and despite a late scare, won the second half a
weekend back-to-back today in Brooklyn. Stephen Curry led the way with 39
points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists while the Warriors defense held the Nets to
35.8 FG%.
The Nets chopped the Dubs largest lead (28 points) in half at the close of the
third and had the game within five points late in the fourth when Curry fouled
out with 3:00 to go. The Nets eventually came within four before a pair of
jumpers from Shaun Livingston and Klay Thompson gave the Warriors some space.
The two teams exchanged three pointers on three straight posessions before a
Warriors stop and Livingston free throws sealed the 118-111 win.
Omri Casspi, starting for Kevin Durant (out with a sprained left ankle), scored
six of his 12 points in his first start in a Warriors uniform.
With the victory, the Warriors improve to 13-4 on the season and next face the
Thunder Wednesday evening in Oklahoma City.
