Derrick Favors: Ruled out vs. Portland

The big man continues to deal with a bone bruise on his left IT band, and he’ll sit out Tuesday night after participating in practice Monday on only a limited basis. In his absence, the Jazz will likely start veteran Boris Diaw at power forward, while Trey Lyles stands to see increased minutes off the bench. Favors’ next chance to make his season debut will come Friday night against the Lakers.
