CLEVELAND — The Cavaliers have tried in earnest to trade Kevin Love and now
Iman Shumpert, to no avail.

Cleveland was in discussions with the Houston Rockets Saturday to send Shumpert
there in a move to clear salary space. But the Rockets agreed to a four-year,
$32 million deal with veteran wing P.J. Tucker Saturday evening, which could
take Houston out of the market for Shumpert and his $21 million contract.

The Vertical is reporting that the Cavs’ talks with Houston have in fact
stalled. Sources told cleveland.com that the Cavs will continue to try to trade
Shumpert, indicating that there were other potential landing spots for the
27-year-old. – CLICK HERE to read full story.

Cleveland Cavaliers should focus on defensive acquisitions this summer Author:

CLEVELAND, Ohio — As the Cleveland Cavaliers ponder summer moves, the kinds of
tweaks that can bring them closer to the dynastic Golden State Warriors, the
focus should be obvious.

For a bulk of the last two years, Cleveland’s additions have centered on
boosting the offense, helping the Cavaliers become a fast-paced, high-scoring
group often reliant on 3-point bombs.

Cavaliers, Kyle Korver agree to three-year, $22 million contract Author: Joe
Vardon Publication: Cleveland.com

CLEVELAND — Kyle Korver agreed to return to the Cavaliers on a three-year, $22
million contract, sources told cleveland.com.

Korver, 36, was perhaps the Cavs’ top priority as a free agent this offseason.
He led the NBA in 3-point field-goal percentage (.451) last season and has made
the fifth-most 3s in NBA history (2,049) in his 14 pro seasons.

Joining the Cavs in a trade in January from Atlanta, he shot .485 from 3-point
range and averaged 10.7 points off the bench. Because Cleveland traded for
Korver last season, the team was eligible to pay him without restriction by the
league’s complex salary rules. – CLICK HERE to read full story.
