New Nike uniforms will lift Cavs’ merchandise business Author: Kevin Kleps

Thanks to two players — LeBron James and Kyrie Irving — who sell more
signature shoes than anyone else in the league, the Cavs are more closely
aligned with Nike than any NBA team.

Or, at the very least, any team aside from maybe Michael Jordan’s Charlotte
Bobcats.

LeBron James on the same team.

2. As I wrote after ESPN’s Brian Windhorst broke the story, Irving averaged more
shots in the regular season and in the NBA Finals than James. He averaged 25
points a game. He was given the green light to shoot about any time from
anywhere by coach Tyronn Lue. But Irving wants to be the face of a franchise. –
