Covington logged 22 minutes in his season debut Monday against the Cavaliers. He finished with four points (1-9 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds, two steals, and a blocked shot.

Unsurprisingly, Covington was a little rusty after returning to action earlier than expected following a right MCL sprain late in the preseason. Coach Brett Brown held down Covington’s playing time in his debut, but expect the small forward to see those restrictions relaxed the further he becomes removed from the injury. Once back to full health, Covington should push for 30 minutes per contest, and be an excellent source for three-pointers and free-throw stabilization.
