As anticipated following the offseason departure of Dwight Howard, Capela slid into the starting role at center for the opener, and began the new season on a high note. While Capela hasn’t shown much offensive aptitude in the past, point guard James Harden set him up well for success Wednesday, affording him a good amount of looks near the basket. Capela shouldn’t be expected to routinely score in the teens, but the production he offered in terms of rebounds and blocks should be sustainable while he assumes a larger role in 2016-17.
