Chasson Randle: Signing with Knicks

Randle was most recently waived by the 76ers after they needed to open up a
roster spot, but with the Knicks lacking a legitimate second point guard behind
Derrick Rose following the waiving of Brandon Jennings, the former Stanford
standout didn’t remain unemployed for long. In eight games with the 76ers,
Randle averaged 5.3 points over nine minutes per game, and his deal will be
partially guaranteed through the 2017-18 season. To start, New York may rely on
the likes of Ron Baker or Justin Holiday to serve as primary ball-handlers, but
is Randle can prove his worth early on, he could end up being a legitimate
backup point guard option for the Knicks in the final stretch of the season.
