With Garrett Temple (hamstring) and Ty Lawson (leg) both sidelined, McLemore
drew the start Tuesday against the Lakers. He’s performed admirably while the
Kings deal with various injuries on the wing, averaging 13.3 points per game and
seeing an average of 30.6 minutes of action in February. McLemore had an
efficient night in Los Angeles, shooting 44 percent from the floor and 60
percent from beyond the arc. While he shows great poise offensively, his
defensive skills have held him back, which is the primary reason for his
position behind Temple on the depth chart. With Temple scheduled to return on
Wednesday, McLemore will return to a reserve role Wednesday against the
Warriors.
