Westbrook scored 31 points (10-31 FG, 3-10 3Pt, 8-8 FT), nine rebounds, eight assists and a steal over 39 minutes in Friday’s 100-96 Game 3 loss to the Spurs.

Although he was largely cold from the floor on a playoff-high 31 shot attempts, Westbrook kept coming at a tough Spurs defense, and managed to fill out the stat sheet in typical fashion by game’s end. His point total was his second highest of the postseason, and he was perfect from the charity stripe for the first time since Game 1 of the quarterfinal series versus the Mavericks. The All-Star guard did emphasize after the game that he’ll have to set teammates up for scoring opportunities more often going forward, so it remains to be seen if he’ll curtail his shot volume in Game 4.
