Wayne Ellington: Does not take contact at practice Sunday

Ellington was forced from Friday’s preseason finale against the Sixers after suffering a quad contusion. He was unable to take part in contact at practice Sunday, but has another two days off for recovery prior the regular season opener against the Magic on Wednesday. His status for that outing remains unclear, but he should be evaluated further during practice over the next few days and will likely have a final decision given on his availability following Wednesday’s morning shootaround.
