Wayne Ellington: Could miss multiple games

Considering his limited workload in practice, Ellington doesn’t appear overly close to returning, so barring a rapid improvement, he could be in line to miss more contests beyond Wednesday’s opener against the Magic. Following that game, the Heat play host to Charlotte on Friday, San Antonio on Sunday and Sacramento on Tuesday before heading to Toronto next Friday. So long as Ellington — as well as Josh Richardson (knee) — remain unavailable, Tyler Johnson and Dion Waiters will handle most of the workload at shooting guard.
