Warriors Comeback to Defeat Rockets, 115-86, in Game 6 to Force Game 7

The Golden State Warriors defeated the visiting Houston Rockets, 115-86, in Game
6 of the Western Conference Finals at Oracle Arena on Saturday. Despite the fact
that Houston led by 17 points at the end of the first quarter, Golden State was
able to prevail thanks to a dominant second half. In fact, Golden State started
the third quarter on a 13-0 run, as that turned a double-digit deficit into a
lead that the Rockets could never recapture. In total, Golden State outscored
Houston in the second half, 66-25. The assist-to-turnover ratio was critical for
the Warriors, as they recorded 26 assists to 12 turnovers while the Rockets
handed out just 13 assists to 21 turnovers. Defense was also huge for Golden
State, as they recorded 11 steals and 10 blocks while holding Houston to under
40 percent from the field. The Rockets (3-3) were led by James Harden, as he
collected 32 points, seven rebounds, nine assists and three steals. Eric Gordon
tallied 19 points and two rebounds. Trevor Ariza finished with 14 points and
five boards. Clint Capela led the team with 16 rebounds but provided just two
points. Gerald Green led the bench with 11 points. The Warriors (3-3) got 87
combined points from Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Kevin Durant, as Thompson
led the team with 35 points, six rebounds and four steals on 9-of-14 from
three-point range. Durant finished with 23 points, seven rebounds and four
assists while Curry accrued 29 points, five rebounds, six assists and three
blocks. Draymond Green had an all-around gem, accumulating four points, 10
