Vince Hunter: Signs contract with Grizzlies

After waiving Tony Wroten late last week, the Grizzlies had an additional preseason roster spot open, so Hunter will get the call after being signed Sunday. The Grizzlies are dealing with some injuries in the frontcourt and want to keep their starters’ minutes down, so Hunter should provide an additional big to soak up some reserve minutes throughout the rest of the preseason schedule. However, his contract isn’t expected to be guaranteed and there’s a good chance he doesn’t make the team’s final regular season roster.
