Victor Oladipo: Signs four-year, $84 million extension with Thunder

Oladipo was brought over to the Thunder in a trade back in June, which also shipped Serge Ibaka to the Magic. He’s had a decent start to the 2016-17 campaign with averages of 17.0 points, 2.3 assists and 3.7 rebounds over 36 minutes during the first three games. He’s fit in nicely next to Russell Westbrook in the backcourt and the duo should now be locked in with the Thunder for at least the next three seasons. That said, Oladipo will continue to play second fiddle to Westbrook, who commands a lot of time with the ball and could hurt Oladipo’s scoring ability on some nights. However, if he continues to see minutes in the mid-to-upper 30’s, Oladipo should retain better than averages numbers across the board.
