Evans made his season debut Dec. 15 after undergoing knee surgery last February.
The Pelicans were cautious with his minutes before recently trading him to the
Kings, where they have continued to keep him limited. He will presumably remain
on a minute restriction for the remainder of the year in order to ensure his
complete health heading into next season. It is unclear who will fill in for him
in the starting lineup, but Aaron Afflalo sliding to small forward and Buddy
Hield stepping in at shooting guard seems the most likely route at this point.
While he is sitting out the front end of a back-to-back set, he will presumably
be set to play Saturday versus the Nuggets.
