Ennis earned a spot on the team’s final roster to temporarily serve as the team’s backup point guard while Patrick Beverly (knee) continues to be out for the start of the regular season. Once Beverly returns, Ennis will return to a role where he is unlikely to see major minutes and Monday’s news suggests that the team doesn’t see the point guard out of Syracuse in their future plans.
