digits just once in his previous seven games while pulling down double-digit
boards only twice, so it’s reassuring to see him accomplish both feats in the
same game again. He’s also been struggling from the free throw line — including
Saturday’s poor showing, he’s shooting just 33.3 percent (7-for-21) from the
charity stripe in March — and it’s fair to wonder whether Thompson’s nursing an
injury, or is simply trying to do too much to compensate for the loss of Kevin
Love (knee).
