Minneapolis/St. Paul -The Minnesota Timberwolves today announced the organization has promoted three staff members to leadership positions, including two to vice president positions. Mike Welch has been promoted to Timberwolves and Lynx Vice President of Corporate Partnerships, Lindsay Milne to Timberwolves and Lynx Vice President of Marketing and Charlie Romans to Timberwolves Director of Membership Sales.

In his new role, Welch will lead the day-to-day operations of the Corporate Partnership Sales and Activation teams.
Welch previously served as Timberwolves and Lynx Director of Corporate Partnerships for nearly three years after a seven-year stint as Corporate Sales Executive. During his 10 years with the Timberwolves and Lynx, Welch has consistently hit revenue targets while building successful partner activation campaigns. Prior to his time with the Timberwolves and Lynx, Welch held the position of Advertising Sales Executive with Milwaukee Magazine for seven years. A Milwaukee, Wis., native, Welch currently resides in Blaine, Minn., with his wife, Andrea, and their four children: Gavin (10), Colin (8), Merek (6) and Liam (4).
As Timberwolves and Lynx Vice President of Marketing, Milne will oversee Timberwolves and Lynx branding, advertising, digital media, creative services, merchandising and events.
Milne, a Manchester-by-the-Sea, Mass., native, was originally hired by the Timberwolves in March 2014 as Marketing Manager before a promotion to Marketing Director in October 2015. Before joining the organization, Milne worked with the NBA in its Global Merchandising Group, as well as Wolverine World Wide, Inc., the MLBPA and NBC Universal. A graduate of the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts, Milne was a 2015 nominee for Ad Fed Minnesota’s 32 Under 32 award and currently resides in Minneapolis.
As Director of Timberwolves Season Memberships, Romans will oversee the day-to-day operations of the season membership team with an emphasis on growing the team’s season membership numbers.
A Milwaukee, Wis., native, Romans joined the Timberwolves and Lynx organization as a Business Development Executive during the 2008-09 season after earning a degree in Sports Management from the University of Minnesota. Romans previously held the title of Manager of Sales and Service for the Minnesota Lynx. Romans’ prior career stops include Gopher Sports Marketing, C.H. Robinson and McGraw-Hill. Romans currently resides in Maple Grove, Minn., and is the proud father of Isabella (5) and Joseph (2).
