Welcome to Throwback Thursday here on NBA.com and NBA TV.
Each week, we’ll delve into the NBA’s photo archives to uncover great images from way back when and NBA TV will air the best games related to our topic for that week.
Today’s Topic: Kevin Garnett
After 12 seasons and 10 All-Star appearances in Minnesota, NBA legend Kevin Garnett was traded to the Boston Celtics on July 31, 2007.
Garnett joined Paul Pierce and newly acquired Ray Allen in Boston to form a new big three that would go on to win the NBA championship in their first season together. During six seasons in Boston, Garnett averaged 15.7 points on 52 percent shooting, 8.3 rebounds and 2.7 assists.
This Throwback Thursday, we look back at Kevin Garnett’s entire career, which will continue for a 22nd season in 2016-17. Be sure to stay tuned to NBA TV for a look at some of his best moments in Boston!
