Thompson Shoots USA to Victory Over France

Klay Thompson scored 30 points to lead Team USA to a 100-97 victory over France on Sunday.

For the second time in three days, the U.S. Men’s National Team won a preliminary round game by three points, this time narrowly defeating France 100-97 on Sunday. After struggling to get his shot to fall through the previous four games, Klay Thompson found his groove, scoring a game-high 30 points, including seven three-pointers. Kevin Durant was perfect from the field on his way to 17 points and seven rebounds, while Draymond Green added his typical activity and defense.
