Thompson registered 27 points (8-21 FG, 2-9 3Pt, 9-10 FT), five rebounds, two assists and a steal over 37 minutes during Thursday’s 120-111 victory over the Thunder in Game 5 of the Western Conference finals.

The five-year veteran went over 20 points for the third time in the series, and for the 11th time for the second straight postseason. Thompson is still struggling from long range, as his 22 percent success rate from beyond the arc marked the third time in the series he’s been under 30 percent on his three-point attempts. The struggles are in sharp contrast to his performance in the semifinal round versus the Blazers, during which he drained half of 56 shots from long distance. Despite the difficulties, Thompson is still contributing 22.2 points, 4.4 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 0.2 blocks and 1.0 steals over the first five games of the series.
