Thompson poured in 35 points (14-28 FG, 5-9 3Pt, 2-2 FT), a rebound, an assist, a steal and a block over 38 minutes in Saturday’s 120-108 Game 3 seminfinal round loss to the Trail Blazers.

The 26-year-old sharpshooter stepped up with his second 30-point-plus performance of the series, taking one of the lead roles on offense in Stephen Curry’s (ankle) stead. As he had in Game 1, Thompson was able to drain 50 percent of his 28 shot attempts, while matching or surpassing that success rate from beyond the arc for the second time as well. The fifth-year guard is averaging 33.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.0 steals and 0.3 blocks to date in the series, with the scoring figure likely to go down as soon as Curry can make it back on the court.
